How does Yoseri know a subscription is dormant?
It does not. It observes that no other transaction appears at the merchant — three months for the gym — and it adds itself that this signal proves nothing, because a monthly subscription does not normally generate any.
Can Yoseri cancel a subscription for me?
No. No screen in the app writes to a merchant and none moves a dollar: access to your accounts is read-only.
Why does my $756 not appear in my savings?
Because you have not answered. With no answer, a subscription is counted neither as useful nor as wasted.
And if I answer “I use it” and then that changes?
The question comes back every six months, and immediately after a price rise. The gym went from $44.99 to $49.99 in January: that is exactly when it is asked again.
How many notifications does that amount to?
One a day at most, whatever the number of active alerts — six for you, four triggered this month. Nothing between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. Email is used only for the weekly summary.
